Since the 1960s, USAID has worked in close collaboration with the government and people of Uganda. USAID programs support the pillars of the Government of Uganda’s Poverty Eradication Action Plan and focuse on the populations who are most vulnerable to poverty through support to programs implemented by the private sector, non-governmental organizations, indigenous civil society and faith-based organizations and the Government of Uganda.
